Our Mission

Clever Brains Solutions is a minority-owned business created by immigrants from Central and Eastern Africa to serve as an educational platform for Economic, Financial & Entrepreneurial Literacy as well as Economic Empowerment, Community Outreach Strategies and Human Rights Advocacy.

We share our knowledge to empower communities and we work one-on-one with individuals and groups based on their business needs. We are economists, entrepreneurs, community leaders and social workers who believe in education and knowledge-based empowerment of local communities.

Our Team

Betty Osias is currently an Academic Coach and an educational entrepreneur. She works with Graduate Economics professors and assist them with Managerial Economics in online MBA programs. She has been coaching students at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Northwest Missouri State University since 2017. She also works with economics professors at the undergraduate level at University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley.

She was an Adjunct Faculty for Economics and College Mathematics at Brightwood College and ITT Technical Institute from 2010 to 2016. She has taught hundreds of students over the years and truly understands the challenges faced by students in studying economics. She has also taught AP Macroeconomics at Western Wyoming Community College between 2013-2015. She believes in a more practical approach of teaching economics and is diligently working to bring economic literacy programs to children and immigrants communities as a way of personal and community empowerment. She brings more than 10 years of combined experience in teaching, tutoring and coaching students from diverse socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. She is also the co-founder of Safari Nativ.

She holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Analysis and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics both from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She also has a graduate certificate in Foundations in Business Analytics from University of Maryland Global Campus.

Nick Ogutu is a graduate of Columbia University school of social work who has received several recognition and awards for his work within the underserved communities in New York city and Pennsylvania. 

His main strength is in structuring community based organizations and strengthening their capacity through training and collaboration which include-Program design, Grant writing and funding proposals, Community outreach strategies and Diversity and inclusion training.

Nick is also the coordinator for Amnesty International Bronx Chapter, New York city.

He is an entrepreneur and the founder of Safari Nativ and President of Safari Yangu, Immigrant Stories.
